Biography
Takuma YASUDA received his PhD in 2005 from Tokyo Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Takakazu Yamamoto. After completing postdoctoral research with Prof. Takashi Kato at the University of Tokyo, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo in 2008. In 2010, he moved to Kyushu University where he joined Prof. Chihaya Adachi’s group as an Associate Professor. He was also a concurrent researcher of JST-PRESTO from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, he was appointed as a Professor at the INAMORI Frontier Research Center of Kyushu University. Currently, he is a Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, Kyushu University (from 2022). His research is directed towards the design, synthesis, functionalization, and device applications of electro- and photo-active π-conjugated molecular materials. His current research interests include pioneering a new organic excitonics field aimed at unexplored and innovative functions. To date, he has published over 150 papers, which have been cited over 10,000 times with an h-index of 55. He has received Marubun Academic Award (2018), the Young Scientists’ Prize, the Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (2015), and the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Chemists (2014).
